2024 - 2025
Workshops
We are offering a series of workshops for spiritual directors and supervisors. We recognise that spiritual direction is a partly hidden ministry and directors can feel isolated, therefore these days are open to all offering this ministry and provide a safe space to share experience and concerns, with the opportunity to learn from each other.
More details of each workshop are opposite.
Feedback from recent workshops
The workshop I attended on forgiveness was really useful. I found the advance reading helpful, and the day as a whole was good. I especially appreciated the opportunity to discuss the issues with other spiritual directors in small groups. (LW)
It was helpful to draw aside and consider the subject of forgiveness in more depth, to discern it’s nuances and complexities and to work on some scenarios together, helping to earth our conversation in the real world that we face as Spiritual Directors. (SG)
I have attended two workshops since September. Both have been really positive experiences, which have been helpful in terms of reminding me of things I had partly forgotten. There was also new material which I found interesting and will be useful in Spiritual Direction sessions going forward. (Anon)

Spring Workshop Wed 12th February 2025
Working with guilt and shame
Shame and guilt are probably feelings that we all have experienced. How have these feelings influenced your own journey or that of your directees? How do these feelings come into direction sessions? This workshop will be helpful in exploring these questions.

Summer Workshop Tues 17th June 2025
Using creative resources in spiritual direction
What might you do when it becomes apparent that words are inadequate to fully explore a directee’s experience? How may the potential constraints of usual dialogue be overcome? In this workshop we will explore together the power and effectiveness of creative and imaginative engagement with experience, thoughts and feelings.
